Growing up I was never one to really enjoy Halloween..... However, my family had a wonderful tradition that I enjoyed more than anything! Every year my family, cousins included, would meet at my Grandma's house and go trick-or-treating together. My grandparents would set up their popcorn machine out on the drive-way and all the parents would hang-out as we kids made our rounds to the same houses our parents did as kids. A great tradition that I will always cherish!
I want Jackson to grow up with traditions, that he too will always remember and cherish. And lucky for us, we have a wonderful reason to celebrate Halloween. My beautiful niece, Kaylee Grace was born on Halloween and every year we gather, in costume, to celebrate her. This year Jackson was able to go with us in costume and all. He was too little to go trick-or-treating with the rest of the kids, but eventually he will be old enough and a new tradition will be born.
For Jackson's 1st Halloween my cousin Monica got him a Bat Costume. He looked SO cute in it, if I do say so myself. We didn't take him trick-or-treating, but we did make it to Kaylee's birthday party.
Our first "holiday" tradition has been born.....
